REACH & RoHS Compliance Statement

1. REACH Regulation ((EC) No 1907/2006)

• Our fluoropolymer products (PTFE, FEP, PFA, ETFE, PVDF, FKM and others) are supplied as polymers and are generally not “substances” or “mixtures” requiring registration in the EU, but they may contain Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) that trigger communication duties.
• Where a batch contains an SVHC above 0.1% w/w, we will provide downstream customers with the information necessary for safe use under Article 33 REACH.
• Customers may request an SVHC declaration or third-party test report for a specific grade.
• We monitor the evolving EU regulation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and will update this statement as the rules change.

2. RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863)

Where our fluoropolymer materials are used in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), they must meet the RoHS limits on ten restricted substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, and the four phthalates DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP. We can provide third-party RoHS test reports or compliance declarations for the relevant grades.

3. Other chemical regulations

• Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS): not intentionally added.
• Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts: not intentionally added; compliant with the restrictions under (EU) 2017/1000.
• Packaging and packaging waste: compliant with applicable packaging and packaging-waste rules.
• China: compliant with the Measures for Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances and the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals.

4. How to obtain the documents

Please state the grade, target market and document type you require in your enquiry and we will provide the declaration or test report for the relevant batch. This statement is valid only for the grades and batches identified and must not be construed as a warranty of fitness for any particular use.
